Lexicon Yoga

Listen to the Language of Your Body.

Through stories, history, and philosophy from yoga’s rich traditions, each class explores the meaning behind the poses and the lessons they carry. Together, we’ll listen to the language of the body, learning to notice, connect, and move through both your practice and the world with greater awareness, intention, and harmony.

About Me

Hi, I’ Lexi, creator of Lexicon Yoga.

I’ve been practicing yoga for more than 15 years, in studios and communities around the world to gain a greater understanding of what exists beyond the physical poses in yoga.

When I first started practicing, I noticed that yoga brought up feelings I didn’t always expect. I could feel empowered, emotional, joyful, or even sad in the middle of a pose. Sometimes, something as simple as Pigeon Pose would bring up a feeling I couldn’t quite explain. This sparked my curiosity about what was happening beneath the surface of the yoga asana.

Together, we’ll explore the stories, history, and meaning behind the poses we practice, from Child’s Pose to Warrior. We'll touch on the 8 limbs of yoga, and I’ll weave in pieces of yoga’s history, philosophy, breathwork, mudras, and meditation throughout the practice, offering just enough guidance to give you something to explore without filling every moment with instruction.
